WHY-New School University forum set for October 16
WHY's 3rd annual forum is moving forward, full steam ahead. The forum — entitled Living in the Shadow of Poverty — is co-sponsored by the New School University and will take place on October 16, in New York. The forum features prominent journalists, performers, and exemplary grassroots organizations.
This year's keynote speaker is Ron Suskind, journalist and author of The Price of Loyalty, George W. Bush, the White House and the Education of Paul O’Neill. After Mr. Suskind speaks, the day will be filled with thought-provoking panels, including the international poverty crisis, how the media covers the poverty issue, and the growing homelessness problem in America.
Registration for the all-day, free event will be open soon. Interested persons can sign up for the WHY Newsletter to stay up-to-date with the forum. As a WHY Newsletter subscriber, click "forum updates" to receive a chance to register before anyone else.
